Creative rights are often missunderstood but are common to all designers.
Copyright
Copyright for all original work remains the property of Transform unless an assignment of copyright is requested, for which an agreed fee will be charged.
Source files
The deliverables of any contract are limited to those required to satisfy the demands of the project (for example, flattened PDF/X-4 for printing, flattened and optimized images for a website). Original source files (layered PSD, AI or INDD files) are not deliverables and will not be released unless agreed before the start of the work, and for which a fee in proportion to their commercial value may be charged.
Title
All deliverables remains the property of Transform until paid for in full. Websites with unpaid fees may be taken off-line if full payment has not been received after 90 days.
General contractual stuff
When you, whether an organisation or individual, place an order, either written or verbal, to start a piece of work, this constitutes a binding contract between you, the client, and Transform, the service provider, for which fees may reasonably be charged.
An advance payment of up to 50% of the project total may be requested before work starts, with the balance payable on completion, or up to 30 days thereafter.
All fees are subject to VAT with the exception of exempt products, or services to non-UK clients.
